Our biggest monkey is back!

Ayden's back from King Island!

I know it because he has eaten last nights leftovers, then made himself a sandwich. There are lots of bags and boxes (and an excess luggage bill) dropped at the back door.

I'm on my 4th load of disgusting washing - some of it came back wet from sea water.. ahhh teenage boys. Roast chicken is in the oven. There is a collection of drift wood, shells, and sharks eggs on the dresser, and sandy camping gear everywhere. A bucket of King Island honey and cinnamon yoghurt is in the fridge.

Almost 10 weeks away is a long time for a 14 year old boy .. and his family. But we are so glad to see him! Ayden has three little monkey shadows following him everywhere xx

How wonderful that he is home! I bet he is being shadowed by two grown up monkeys too! I found Dot being away for just a week really hard so I think you have coped brilliantly! I love that photo of Ayden - he looks so happy to be home!

Sounds like a wonderful experience. Is that part of the Ballarat & Clarendon program?

What a fantastic experience, lucky boy!

There is nothing like loads of washing and sandy camping gear everywhere to show what a good time he had. I bet he is being followed - that is a long time to be away.

even though I'm positive that he is glad to be back he must have some amazing memories of his trip that he can take into adulthood . His smile says it all

Awww, so glad he is back safe and sound. I've thought of him often over the last 10 weeks. And you, of course.

Did he have a brilliant time?

So glad to see your boy home safe and sound! I bet you've never been so happy to do the laundry :)

It seems like ages since you posted about him going and it's really hit me just how very long 10 weeks is!! No wonder his little shadows don't want to let him out of their sight!

Enjoy :)
