A Winner .. and the Sunday Catchup

First, the winner of my 100 post giveaway is ... Sylvia

Congratulations Such wonderful gifts you made for the giveaway I am crossing my fingers....Sylvia:)

Sylvia, could you please contact me as I can't find an email or a blog for you, and I will post your package out

This week I have been stitching for a swap, and working on my giraffes and rainbow for Lynette's block of the month. With everything on, I've fallen behind, but I'll prove I am back up to date next post!

Ayden and I made this storage box from the great tutorials over at Crazy Mom Quilts. We dragged out some of the treasured Harry Potter fabric that we have been keeping for something special for a few years. It's filled with some of the shells and driftwood memento's from King Island.

I'll see if Ayden would like to do a guest post about King Island. On Friday it was back to school for a debrief and finding out the classes for next term. Then the kids all went off to McDonalds together .. stopping in at another takeaway shop on the way for chips and gravy...

Most of the weekends its just been catching up and getting back to being a family of 6, with a teenager too. Kind Island has been great for Ayden, but very challenging. He had to share a bedroom for the first time in his life, and not be the "big one". The kids had to organise and cook all their own food, and live in a tiny former mining town that was apparently overrun with wallabies. They ate wallaby too. Living with 5 other teenage boys left them rationing food and arguing over who cleaned the toilet. 10 weeks is a long time. But, he has grown and put on 4 kg, and increased his fitness levels. Still getting up early and going jogging now he is home. We still have lots of stories to hear...

I was wondering how you guys were all going with Ayden home!! Glad to hear that he's had a great time. Good on him for getting up early and going jogging! That's great that you could make the bucket together to hold Ayden's special stuff from King Island. Wallaby is a delicacy! (Not that I've personally had it!)

I love Ayden's Treasure Box! Such a lovely idea to make something special together to hold his memories.

It sounds like he's had some great experiences and really grown (quite literally!) during his time away. I look forward to his guest post :)
