Snazzy!

Wooo hooo. Look what arrived for me, all the way from Tasmania yesterday. My very own Bernina!

I've been wishing, googling, hinting and saving for a long long time.

It's okay. I know it's not the top of the line, but its a huge step up for me. My old machine was not coping with pins and going off on a slant at the end of rows. Lots of frustration and three kids are now very talented unpickers ... I want a workhorse of a sewing machine and I hope this is it. 264 1 inch squares today and I haven't even got past straight stitch.

looking good Rachel - you will have to do a sewing machine report - I am looking at another one - and the Bernina seems to be the one to get. Your squares look great too.

Yippee! You're the third blog I've read this week with a new sewing machine...2 Bernina, 1 Janome. :o) Have fun.

Isn't it fun when you see it arrive at your door, I'm the 1 with the new Janome Stephanie mentioned. Enjoy your new baby, and hopefully this will mean your kids can forget about unpicking....

Congratulations, it's a beauty. I've had my Bernina for almost 20 years and it still feels like new.

I am very extremely completely utterly jealous. I have a very basic machine, and one day aspire to Bernina ownership. Have fun with her! x

I've got my new bernina 440 since decemberlast year and the only one thing what I'm missing is the thread cutter.
