It's a bit hard sometimes to grab a 15 year old boy and say, "quick grab your certificate and pose for a pic .... try and find somewhere without the sun in your eyes!"But I did it! Here's Ayden with his Bronze Duke of Ed Award.
Ayden finished this award last year, before he went off to King Island and handed it all in to be sent off and assessed while he was away. Unfortunately the booklet disappeared. I'd made a few "sort this out" phone calls to the coordinator at school and a few months of chasing went on.
This poor teacher is now Ayden's year 10 geography teacher and during class he handed Ayden a book. He had found it hidden among all the new booklets. Hooray, so now he can start his silver level. Ayden volunteered for 6 months and collected bags and bags of litter from Ballarat's waterways, ran and swam lots of kilometres and learnt to cook as his skill to use while he was away for a term. He had to organise and participate on a couple of camps too, but that's part of the fun.

Your quilt looks beautiful - the colours and freshness are just gorgeous. Don't know if I would machine quilt though -- sounds like too much hardwork.
