We love a bit of drama at our house ..

And what 4 year old doesn't? Just trying to take a pic of Maya in her skirt made from the "Making Children's Clothes" book by Emma Hardy! This skirt came together very quickly (or it would if I had the chance to make it in more than 10 minute blocks ...) It has a little gathered pocket and a red velvet trim with a small bow that can't really be seen on the pic. Cute for handing out the doves to the carers at creche today.

At lunchtime Kane and Maya went to Matt's nursery to let Smiley go. Smiley was a tadpole that the children in Maya's room at creche looked after for months, and he is now a little tree frog. He has been released into one of the wetland ponds at the nursery to live with the other tree frogs. Frog happiness.

She is gorgeous, this little girl, even on a picture you can feel what a fun girl she must be to be with! Love the skirt too! Wish my girl would still be wearing skirts, but she isn't, I am afraid. Doesn't like them any more. Well, with being 12 I do understand!

what cute material! I love the fact that the sun shines where you are and your daughter is in a short sleeve shirt! We haven't seen warmth in so long!!

Beautiful skirt and beautiful daughter! It's so lovely to see a bit of sunshine when we are under snow and ice here in the UK!

Hope you and yours all have a wonderful Christmas, and wish you a very happy new year.

Maya is shooting up rachel - she looks very grown up in that pic.
