What's going on in my creative space? Lots of trying to finish off UFO's so I can start 2011 with a clean slate. This quilt is gradually being quilted with squiggly lines and I would love to have it finished before we go off to Sewjourn in a couple of weeks.
The exciting news for today .. Ayden's been elected as Environment Leader for Year 12, and I bought a brand new car. I just can't tell you how exciting it really is :)

Love the squiggly quilting; I've been playing with straight line quilting for the first time today and I love how different it is to stipple. I'll have to give those squiggles a go.
Congrats on the new car, and congrats to Ayden on his new position :-)
Congratulations on your son's new position, pretty fabulous!! Beautiful quilting, love Posie
i love doing squiggly quilting; it makes up for not being able to sew straight! Yay to Ayden. And yay for your new car. Will it be easier to drive in the dark??
how on earth do you do squiggles? Amateurish q sorry?!
Just scrolled onward and thanks so much for the David Walker fabric tip - will have to look it up!
Loads of exciting news over your way.
I have to admit, I'm most excited by that quilt snippet. It's looking GORGEOUS!!
I LOVE the idea of finishing all your WIP's by the end of the year. I hope you get there.
The squiggly quilt looks great!
Congratulations to Ayden. And lucky you with a new car! Good luck with the WIP pile too :)
I love that stitch, I did it on the border of my Fandago Clam quilt. Yours looks beautiful.
great idea - I am thinking of doing squiggly quilting on my current project, but don't have the right stitch, and am nervous of doing it freehand :-)
Well done to Ayden and how exciing for you too, a new car to play with.
Gorgeous colours in the quilt, will keep you very cosy I am sure.
I love the colours of the quilt, so pretty!
Love the squigglys! Seems you are doing what everyone is trying to do all of a sudden, finish off all UFO's and clean out the scrap bin. Good luck and keep us all posted.
As much as I love the bag, I must say your daughter steals the show! I am not some kind of weirdo, just a Mum whose children are mostly grown (teens), who misses the days of the little people who actually liked to hang out with Mum, baking cookies or whatever. When their clothes and costumes were fun to make, and they would actually wear what I made. (They still wear hand-knit socks, though.)
Her bright smiling face is like sunshine for me.
